今天小編要介紹的片語是【act on】to act according to (what someone has advised, suggested, etc. )

Ex.

1.      Paddy refused to act on my advice.

2.     I made various suggestions, but the committee did not act on any of them.

3.     Julie decided that it was best to act on her uncle’s advice and get a mechanic to  

check the car before she bought it.
