本週片語[patch up]: to mend (something) roughly and perhaps temporarily

Ex.

1.      The roofer patched the roof up to keep the rain out, but it needs to be completely re-covered.

2.      Jeff wonders if you can patch up this old garden shed for him.

3.      I patched up those holes.

Note: roofer:蓋屋頂的人， roof:屋頂

Patch up 有修補、修繕的意思，包含修補關係，多為暫時性的修補

名詞為補釘，補片，貼片的意思
