今天要介紹的片語為【stand in for】

To carry out the work or duties of someone:

Ex.

1.  Fred is standing in for the firm’s accountant who is on holiday.

2.  The history lecturer is on maternity leave and Mr Jones is standing in for her.

這個常用就是在公司，有人請長假，有些公司會特地另請職務代理人來取代請假人員的工作。
