Ex.

1.           The travelers were cold and hungry and just hoped that they could last out until help arrive.

2.           Jim is supposed to have stopped smoking, but he won’t last out until tonight without a cigarette.

3.           The patient is losing a lot of blood- she may not last out until the ambulance gets here.
