今天要介紹的片語為【look up】to look at (a reference book, set of instructions, etc) to try to find some information.

Ex.

1.    We looked up a dictionary to find out what the word meant.

2.    I’ll have to look up the instructions to find out how the machine works.

3.    I wanted to find out exactly where Sydney was and so I looked up an atlas.
