Previously on phrasal Verb [pull in] 吸引…(參與一些活動)，另外還有(火車，交通工具)到站的意思。例如: We pulled in at midnight.

本週片語[ settle for]:  accept (something) although it is not quite what you wanted.

Ex.

1.      I wanted to go to Europe, but I’ll settle for a holiday anywhere.

2.      Mike has realized that he will have to settle for the place at the local college although he had wanted to go to university.

不是非常願意，也就免強接受…

我們口語長說，退而求其次，這可以用這片語

I settled for anything that was second best.

下次女友問男士們，”為何你會選擇我”

可以跟女友這樣回答看看……(誤)…><
